Community Health and Literacy Center

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has partnered with the City of Philadelphia to provide healthcare, literacy and recreational services in one location for children and families in South Philadelphia.   The Community Health and Literacy Center broke ground in October 2014 and is scheduled for completion in late 2015.   It will consist of the following spaces: CHOP Care Network; City of Philadelphia Healthcare Center 2; a south Philadelphia branch of the Philadelphia Free Library; and the DiSilvestro Recreation Center.

Metropolitan Acoustics is on the design team for this innovative facility.  We are providing consultation for the interior room acoustics, acoustical isolation and speech privacy, and mechanical system noise analysis, as well as designing the complete AV system for the CHOP Family Care Center facility.
