3737 Chestnut Receives BD+C Award

Building Design & Construction recognized 3737 Chestnut as an Honorable Mention in the 2016  Building Team Awards.

This 287,000 square foot residential tower, located at the northeast corner of 38th and Chestnut Streets helped to provide much needed funding to the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral (circa 1855) and also housed new administrative offices for the church.

Metropolitan Acoustics was the acoustical consultant for 3737 Chestnut and oversaw the design of the mechanical system noise and vibration isolation treatments as well as sound isolation throughout the building.

The Building Team Awards honor commercial building projects across the United States that set the standard of excellence in design and construction, while meeting the needs of the owner, the occupant, and the community.
