As construction continues on the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at the Comcast Center, we have had several opportunities to tour the building and observe the progress up close and personal. The hotel is a unique and vital component of this new project and we have been involved in the acoustics and sound isolation from the beginning.
In order to get a sense of the space and the quality of the furnishings and materials, The Four Seasons built a model hotel room in a warehouse in nearby Horsham, PA. As part of the design team, we were invited to tour this room mock-up to examine the components from our perspective and evaluate the construction methods and materials that are being used to ensure privacy and proper sound attenuation. This is a large and important project in the city of Philadelphia’s growing hospitality industry, and this hotel room mock-up combined with our visits to the actual building are providing invaluable quality assurance checkpoints throughout the life cycle of this project.
