Gumbo, Jazz, and Great Sessions at the ASA

A group of us from the office made our way down to New Orleans last week for some Jazz, etouffee, and some really fun and engaging sessions at the 174th meeting of the Acoustical Society of America. There were fascinating topics like “Listening to the Universe with Gravitational Waves”, and “Acoustics in the Gulf of Mexico”, along with important and topical sessions about sound isolation, speech privacy, and acoustics in Healthcare Facilities and “Structural Acoustics and Vibration”.

There were also sessions that combined the history of Cajun Music with live music performed by the presenters. Check out our Twitter feed for some clips of the Savoy Family Band and the jam session from a lecture all about the clarinet.
