The awards keep coming!
On November 9th, Perry World House and design firm 1100 Architect were honored at the AIANYS Design Awards Recognition Reception at the 2017 AIA QUAD State Convention. The New York State chapter of the AIA recognized the dramatic and innovative design work with an Award of Citation. The building serves as a vibrant hub of communication and gathering for all 12 of the University of Pennsylvania’s schools for international exchange and activity. Limestone and glass have been incorporated into an extension of the 163-year-old cottage in a manner that respects and enhances the original design.
Metropolitan Acoustics provided interior room acoustics, interior isolation, mechanical system noise and vibration control, as well as audio visual system design for the World Forum, which is a glass-enclosed interior courtyard and serves as a main interior focal point of the building. We also designed custom A/V solutions for the classrooms, conference rooms, and other common areas in the building.
