We learn something new every day! Today we learned that Holland Middle School was recognized in Learning By Design’s Spring 2020 issue as an Outstanding Project. Metropolitan Acoustics congratulates the design team which was led by SchraderGroup Architecture and Design.
The project renovated the entire school facility including a 44,000 SF addition with classroom spaces, an auditorium, gymnasium/fitness spaces, and music rooms. Metropolitan Acoustics worked with SchraderGroup to meet the requirements for LEED 2009 Indoor Environmental Quality Prerequisite 3: Minimum Acoustical Performance in the core learning spaces; the project achieved LEED Gold certification. We also developed recommendations for non-core learning spaces within the addition to meet acoustical design goals.
Learning By Design is published three times a year and highlights architectural firms with outstanding pre-K to 12 and college/university projects. A link to the article is here.
Holland Middle School is located in Holland, PA, and is part of the Council Rock School District.
