Isn’t that sWELL?

Here’s some swell news….we just learned that one of our projects achieved WELL Silver certification!  The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of External Affairs relocated into office space at the FMC Tower in Philadelphia.  Metropolitan Acoustics predicted sound levels of the proposed fit out mechanical system within the office suite and compared them to WELL Building Standards.  Where necessary, Hyun developed noise and vibration control recommendations for the fit-out HVAC system to meet the WELL Certification design goals.

WELL is a performance-based sustainable design initiative that evaluates the built environment and the impact on human health and well-being through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness comfort and mind.  Whereas LEED is about sustainability, building materials and energy efficiency, WELL focuses on human sustainability.
