Felicia and Bryan helped out a well-known integrated resilient flooring manufacturer demonstrate impact testing for their continuing education series. Using our tapping machine, a videographer filmed our apparatus hard at work. What you do not see in the attached video are the hammers underneath the machine being lifted and dropped.
A tapping machine is a calibrated device used to measure impact noise (e.g. footfall from hard-soled shoes) in the field of building acoustics.
Not sure how your space taps up? Give us a call! Metropolitan Acoustics is frequently consulted by clients to perform this type of testing to ensure code compliance, particularly in multi-family spaces.
