We are excited to be on the design team led John Milner Architects for the renovation of the historic First Bank of Philadelphia building located on South 3rd Street in the heart of Philadelphia’s historical district. The majestic building dates to the 1700s when Alexander Hamilton proposed the idea of a national bank. Closed to the public for years due to deteriorating mechanical systems, the refurbished stone and brick building will reopen as a museum commemorating Hamilton’s central bank strategy and telling the story of our early economy. Click here for a recent article about the project. Or you could listen to Cabinet Battle #1 song from the musical Hamilton which details Hamilton’s banking plan! See below for a line taken from the song.
“The issue on the table, Secretary Hamilton’s plan to assume state debt and establish a national bank.”
