It is with great joy that Metropolitan Acoustics would like to announce that our very own CEO Felicia Doggett has been awarded the 2022 Lang Award at INCE-USA, which is for Distinguished Noise Control Engineer! This award recognizes individuals who have rendered conspicuous and consistently outstanding service to the Institute and to the field of noise control engineering over a sustained period. Just being nominated is a huge honor…. Leo Beranek won the award back in 1997. Felicia was nominated by the west coast Women in Acoustics group, who wanted to nominate a woman – there has never been a female winner of this prestigious award (not sure if there’s ever been a female nominee) – and they chose Felicia! This is a monumental accomplishment not just for us at MA, but for all women in acoustics and noise control engineering. Congratulations Felicia!!!
