During the final days of the Lina Bo Bardi – A Marvellous Entanglement exhibition at the Philadelphia Art Museum, members of the Balé Folclórico da Bahia traveled from Brazil to Philadelphia to perform in response to this installation. This performance, directed by Isaac Julien and choreographed by José Carlos Arandiba (Zebrinha), activated the architecture of the Museum’s Williams Forum in a conversation across art, architecture, and performance spanning historical and cultural contexts.
