Stephen Leiby


Steve is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute earning his Master of Science in Architectural Acoustics in 2010. He also graduated from Purdue University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Acoustical Engineering. Prior to joining the Metropolitan team, Steve was a consultant at a west coast acoustical consulting firm for 4 years where he worked on over 100 projects involving environmental noise studies, multi-family housing, commercial buildings, and educational spaces from elementary to university level.

Steve also has over 2 years’ experience consult independently on architectural acoustics projects. While working independently, Steve honed skills in project management, business development, and interior room acoustics design. In addition to the acoustical consulting experience Steve brings to the team, he also brings an interest in the effects of environmental noise on health and a desire to improve the acoustic comfort of homes, business, and places of entertainment and worship.
