Xian Yu


Xian began her career in audio and acoustics in 2009 after receiving a Master’s Degree in Audio Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University. She has consulted on sound isolation, room acoustics, and A/V projects during her tenure with Metropolitan Acoustics, providing design recommendations, construction administration, and on-site testing for many clients. At her previous positions, she designed the loudspeaker systems for World Cup Stadiums and Olympic Stadiums, and developed various software programs for loudspeaker tuning and room correction, ceiling loudspeaker distributed system design, subwoofer steering, acoustic diffuser design, and other aspects of audio system tuning. Xian is recipient of the Newman Medal awarded by the Acoustical Society of America for Merit in Architectural Acoustics.
