Xian Yu


Xian began her career in audio and acoustics in 2009 after receiving a Master’s Degree in Audio Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University. She has consulted on room acoustics, sound isolation, noise & vibration control, and A/V projects during her tenure with Metropolitan Acoustics. She is also a software programmer who developed our proprietary vibration data processing and modal map software.

At her previous positions, she designed the loudspeaker systems for World Cup Stadiums and Olympic Stadiums, and developed various software programs for loudspeaker tuning, loudspeaker system design, acoustic diffuser design, etc.

Xian is the recipient of the Newman Medal awarded by the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) for Merit in Architectural Acoustics.
