Campbell Soup World Headquarters
Camden, NJ
Architect: Jacobs
Metropolitan Acoustics was the acoustical and audio visual consultant for interior renovations to the Campbell Soup Company World Headquarters. Campbell’s has been both a pantry and Camden, New Jersey staple since 1869. The renovations allowed the company’s flagship building a more modern and open office configuration. The workstations were placed on the perimeter near the windows and enclosed offices with glass fronts in the middle of the floor.
Metropolitan Acoustics provided speech privacy and isolation analysis to the new open office areas and Collaboration and Solutions Conference Room, as well as general noise and vibration control recommendations in the private offices and meeting rooms. For the Collaboration and Solutions Room, recommendations were also made for the room finishes and location of acoustical materials to achieve an acceptable reverberation rating and speech intelligibility for the room as a whole, and when divided into smaller rooms.
Metropolitan Acoustics also designed series of multi-tiered A/V system types for a variety of meeting room and presentation rooms, and including the Collaboration and Solutions Room. This “state-of the art” room with “state-of the-art” equipment includes an interactive display where presenters can build mock up shelf arrangements or make notes on top of a presentation or advertisement. All of the audio, video, lighting, and conferencing routing and operation can be controlled through one of the four touch screen panels located around the room. This technology enables Campbell’s to easily interact with their clients locally and abroad. To date, we have assisted the design team with over 100,000 sq. ft. with more to come.
