Metropolitan Acoustics was the acoustical and sound masking consultant for the new offices of Franklin Square Capital Partners at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia.  This new, four-story 74,000 SF building was designed to support open plan office space, private offices, conference rooms, dining facilities, and a fitness center.

Metropolitan Acoustics provided acoustical and sound masking design of the office spaces to allow for appropriate speech privacy. This task presented a challenge as the project’s design included significant open office space and glass partitions for greater visibility and sense of openness. Our approach was to work with the design team to select materials, finishes, and equipment to control the propagation of sound throughout the space. We also designed the partition types and sound and vibration control of the tenant’s mechanical systems to support the project’s speech privacy and sound isolation goals.
